One System, Two Beneficiaries

THERMOWATT, winning the bid in the public procurement tender and acting as the main contractor, completed the 1.2 MW heating and cooling system at the Ferencvaros pumping station.

As the Sewage Works buildings require minimal cooling, we connected the system via pipeline to the nearby Palace of Arts (MÜPA) building, which buys cooling energy from the Budapest Sewage Works.

The system has been live since 2015.
